Disclaimer regarding the ethics of using some infamous artists’ vocals in my “remixes”

I use material from 2Pac, Jay-Z, and others.
Some of them did serious harm, and were accused or convicted of crimes that are morally indefensible.

I don’t see their work as clean. I see it as part of a violent cultural field of human consciousness, showing up through poetry, group psychology, mass media, and all the other ways we broadcast ourselves – whether we are consciously aware of it at the time or not.

My remixes are attempts to process, subvert, and re-aim that energy. I don’t celebrate these artists as heroes, but I do find some of their material useful for artistic purposes.
