Introduction
This paper is written for the average reader who may have heard fragments about “Nazi occultism,” “secret societies,” “Fourth Reich” money trails, or modern elite power networks—but has never seen the entire story laid out clearly, step by step, from beginning to end. It does not assume you already know who Miguel Serrano is, what the Black Sun symbol looks like, or why a 19th-century novel about underground energy matters.
The core question this paper answers is simple:
How did certain occult symbols, rituals, and ideas born in early-20th-century Germany survive the total military defeat of the Third Reich in 1945, travel alongside very real flows of money and power, and reappear today inside the structures of wealth concentration, digital surveillance, and the resurgence of authoritarian politics?
We already know from declassified U.S. government files, congressional investigations, and historians such as Mark Felton that Nazi industrialists and SS leaders actively planned to hide gold, patents, factories, and personnel after World War II.
These plans—often called the “Fourth Reich” financial trail—included the August 1944 Strasbourg meeting (linked to Heinrich Himmler) and ratlines (escape routes) that funneled people and assets to South America, often with help from the Vatican, Argentina’s Juan Perón, and even some American banking networks.
Prescott Bush’s Union Banking Corporation, for example, handled assets tied to German industrialist Fritz Thyssen until the U.S. government seized them in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act.
These are documented facts in National Archives records.
What the official history usually stops short of exploring is the non-financial cargo that traveled on the same routes: symbols, myths, rituals, and a worldview that treated the physical defeat of Nazi Germany as only a temporary “mystical death.”
This esoteric layer was preserved in coded fiction, poetry, and private initiatory texts written under diplomatic cover or postwar pressure.
The most complete version of that worldview is called Esoteric Hitlerism, developed by Chilean diplomat and writer Miguel Serrano.
At its center is the Black Sun (Schwarze Sonne)—a symbol that began as a floor mosaic inside an SS castle and later became a living cosmic force in a new religion-like system.
This paper traces that single throughline chronologically and in detail:
- Its pre-Nazi roots in German occult groups.
- Its peak inside the SS during the Third Reich.
- Its escape with the money after 1945.
- Its full synthesis into a practical initiatory system.
- Its dilution and reappearance inside today’s surveillance-state power structures and the 2010s–2020s far-right revival.
The pattern that repeats across all eras is the same one described by Beijing educator Professor Jiang Xueqin in his YouTube series Predictive History:
Power works like alchemy.
Elites use three tools—incentives (money and status), blackmail (often sexual or ritual compromise), and psychological programming (“deep sleep” or narrative control).
Secret societies and occult networks serve as the operating system for these tools.
Ancient priesthoods in Egypt and Mesopotamia used similar methods; modern versions appear in elite clubs, intelligence-linked sex rings (such as the documented Epstein network), and algorithmic surveillance.
Understanding this requires requires only pattern recognition:
- Money moves first
- Cults supply the “why”
- Symbols act like a virus that survives censorship
- The whole system dilutes into new forms when the old ones collapse
The Black Sun is the clearest surviving example.
By the end of this paper you will see exactly how it moved from a castle floor in 1930s Germany to tattoos and manifestos in 2020s accelerationist circles, while the financial and surveillance machinery evolved around it.
The Seed
Ariosophy, the Thule Society, and the Rune-Vril Engine
Late 19th–Early 20th Century
The story begins not with Hitler but decades earlier, in the cultural crisis of late-19th- and early-20th-century German-speaking Europe.
Rapid industrialization, the loss of World War I, and the chaotic Weimar Republic created a hunger for myths that could restore a sense of ancient racial and spiritual superiority.
Two writers laid the intellectual groundwork.
Guido von List (1848–1919), a Viennese journalist and occultist, claimed that in 1902–1903, while temporarily blind after cataract surgery, he received a visionary revelation of 18 special runes he called the Armanen runes.

These were not the historical Elder Futhark runes used by ancient Germanic tribes.
List presented them as a secret, primordial alphabet tied to the god Odin’s sacrifice on the World Tree.
In his 1908 book Das Geheimnis der Runen he taught that each rune was a living magical sigil.
By physically adopting body postures that matched the rune shapes (a practice later called “rune yoga”), chanting their sounds, and meditating on them at ancient sacred sites, an initiate could awaken “blood memory”—an ancestral, racial power stored in the veins.
Lanz von Liebenfels (1874–1954), a former monk who founded the Order of the New Templars, took the racial mysticism further.
In his 1905 book Theozoology he argued that the ancient Aryans were god-like beings whose purity was being diluted by “lower races.”
He combined pseudo-science, Theosophy (a popular occult movement that mixed Eastern and Western mysticism), and apocalyptic Christianity into a vision of Aryans as a threatened master race that must reclaim its divine status.
These ideas together are called Ariosophy—literally “Aryan wisdom.”
They blended Germanic pagan revival, lost-continent myths (Atlantis and especially Hyperborea, the mythical Arctic homeland of the pure Aryans), and anti-modern, anti-Semitic nationalism.
The practical organization that turned Ariosophy into a political force was the Thule Society, founded in Munich in 1918.
Named after the legendary northern land of Hyperborea, it was led by Rudolf von Sebottendorff and attracted disillusioned aristocrats, veterans, and occultists.
Among its early members or close associates were future Nazi figures such as Rudolf Hess (Hitler’s deputy), Alfred Rosenberg (Nazi ideologue), and Dietrich Eckart (Hitler’s mentor).
Thule was never “just a drinking club.”
It ran:
- Rune-yoga sessions: initiates stood in Armanen rune postures to channel energy.
- Group meditations at “halgadomes” (ancient Germanic sacred high places).
- Blood-oath ceremonies using the swastika (as a solar wheel) and solar symbols.
- Mediumistic séances attempting contact with Hyperborean or extraterrestrial forces.
A key concept they adopted was Vril.
The word came from Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s 1871 English novel The Coming Race, which described an underground master race that used “Vril” as a universal psychic energy for levitation, healing, destruction, or creation—controlled purely by will.
Thule members reinterpreted Vril as the lost Aryan super-power, latent in “pure” blood and awakenable through runes and ritual.
Later postwar legends added a fictional “Vril Gesellschaft” with female mediums like Maria Orsic channeling messages from the star Aldebaran; historians treat the organized society as largely myth, but the idea was real enough in Ariosophist circles.
Thule directly funded and supported the tiny German Workers’ Party (DAP) in 1919.
That party became the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP)—the Nazi Party.
Industrial money from figures like Fritz Thyssen (a steel magnate) flowed through the same early networks.
The pattern was set: occult symbolism and ritual supplied the mythic “why”; elite money supplied the practical “how.”
The Inner Reich
Himmler’s Black Sun Cult and
Ahnenerbe “Border Science”
When the Nazis took power in 1933, public commercial occultism (astrology shops, spiritualist groups) was largely suppressed as “sectarian” competition.
But inside the SS, Heinrich Himmler—head of the SS and one of the most powerful men in the regime—built a private initiatory order.
In 1934 Himmler purchased Wewelsburg Castle in Westphalia and began turning it into an SS spiritual center, sometimes called the “SS Vatican.”
The most famous feature is in the North Tower’s Obergruppenführersaal (hall for senior SS generals).
The marble floor contains a mosaic of 12 Sig-runes (lightning-bolt shapes) arranged in a wheel around a central black disk.
This design was later named the Schwarze Sonne or Black Sun in postwar literature.
During the Third Reich it was never shown to the public or used in mass propaganda. It was reserved for elite SS initiates and symbolized an invisible polar “dark sun”—a regenerative energy source linked to Hyperborea that would empower the SS as a new order of Teutonic knights.
Himmler also created the Ahnenerbe (“Ancestral Heritage”) institute in 1935.
This was an official SS research organization that sent expeditions to Tibet, the Arctic, South America, and supposed Grail sites in Europe.
Their goal was to “prove” Aryan origins through archaeology, anthropology, and what they called “border science” (pseudoscientific or occult-tinged research).
Projects included World Ice Theory (a cosmology claiming ice was the primal substance of the universe), rune magic studies, and attempts to harness Vril-like energies.
The Black Sun and Ahnenerbe work were never the core driver of Nazi policy—Hitler was pragmatic and often dismissive of “old nonsense”—but they formed a hidden inner engine for the SS.
Himmler’s most direct occult advisor was Karl Maria Wiligut (1866–1946), the former Austrian officer and self-proclaimed descendant of ancient Germanic god-kings.
Wiligut supplied Himmler with rune lore, Irminsul cosmology, and a revised Germanic calendar.
He helped design SS rituals and even influenced the Wewelsburg renovation. His ideas—secret blood lineages, cosmic cycles, and the need for an elite priest-knight order—fed directly into the Black Sun worldview.
The regime tolerated them because they reinforced elite loyalty and racial mythology.
The Flight
1944–1945 Ratlines, Asset Transfers, and
Coded Fiction as Survival Valve
By 1944 it was clear Germany was losing the war. On August 10, 1944, a secret meeting in Strasbourg (linked to Himmler) outlined plans to preserve German industry abroad. Martin Bormann (Hitler’s private secretary) issued directives to move gold, patents, personnel, and networks to neutral countries and South America.
These plans are documented in declassified files and postwar trials.
The escape routes—called ratlines—included:
- ODESSA (Organisation der ehemaligen SS-Angehörigen — “Organization of Former SS Members”), a network that helped SS men flee.
- Vatican assistance (some clergy provided false passports).
- Perón’s Argentina, which welcomed thousands of Nazis and sympathizers.
- Isolated colonies such as Colonia Dignidad in Chile (founded 1961 by Paul Schäfer, a former Nazi-era German with a background in Hitler Youth and medicine). It became a secretive, abusive enclave with ties to Pinochet’s dictatorship.
American financial ties continued.
The same networks that had profited from German rearmament (Bush/Thyssen/Union Banking) helped integrate some of the talent into U.S. Cold War projects under Operation Paperclip.
While the money and people moved, the esoteric ideas were carried in fiction.
Austrian writer Wilhelm Landig published postwar novels that described secret Nazi bases in Antarctica, Vril-powered flying discs, and the Black Sun as a force of rebirth.
The 1960 bestseller The Morning of the Magicians by Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier popularized these myths worldwide.
Fiction became the safest way to encode the worldview under Allied occupation and Cold War surveillance.
The Synthesis
Miguel Serrano and Esoteric Hitlerism

The most complete postwar version of this esoteric current was created by Miguel Serrano (1917–2009).
Born in Santiago, Chile, Serrano was a poet, novelist, and diplomat who served as Chile’s ambassador to India (1953–1962), Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He had been a Nazi sympathizer since the 1930s and participated in a private Chilean occult order in 1942 that fused pro-Nazi ideas with ceremonial magic and kundalini yoga.
In 1947–48 he traveled to Antarctica; he later claimed this gave him visionary contact with “disks of uncreated light.”
After the war Serrano developed Esoteric Hitlerism—a full cosmogony and initiatory religion.
His major works are:
- El Cordón Dorado: Hitlerismo Esotérico (1978, The Golden Thread)
- NOS: Book of the Resurrection (1980)
- Adolf Hitler: The Ultimate Avatar (1984)
- Manú: For the Man to Come (1991)
In Serrano’s system (explained in detail for the first time to new readers):
- The original Hyperboreans were extragalactic, asexual “god-men” who reproduced through plasmic emanations, commanded Vril (the living energy of the Black Sun), saw with a third eye, and existed outside ordinary time and reincarnation.
- They established a polar Second Hyperborea at the North Pole. A cosmic catastrophe reversed the poles and shifted the remnant to Antarctica.
- The visible material world was created by the Demiurge (an inferior “godlet” equated with Jehovah and the forces of entropy). The Demiurge promotes racial mixing, usury, materialism, and spiritual decay.
- Adolf Hitler was the penultimate Avatar—a Kalki/Vishnu figure sent to fight the Demiurge. His bunker suicide was an alchemical “mystical death” (instead of embarrassing defeat) and transmutation. Hitler now waits in Antarctic bases with advanced Vimana (ancient flying craft) technology for the final return.
- The Black Sun is the “sun of midnight,” a polar regenerative light (sometimes called the Green Ray) that courses through pure Aryan blood-memory. It is the anti-entropic force that enables mystical death, resurrection, and the awakening of the Vril organ (third eye plus polar physiology).
Serrano’s writings are poetic, dense, and deliberately veiled—written under diplomatic cover during the Cold War so the pattern could survive.
The Practical Technology
Vril, A-Mor, and the Key Influences
That Made It Work
Serrano provided a daily practice to “awaken” the Black Sun power under the guise of coded myth.
Vril is the operational energy—plasmic, regenerative, and commanded by will.
It reopens the “Vril organ.”
The central technique is A-Mor (“magic love without death”).
It is not ordinary sex or even classic left-hand tantra.
It is a non-physical, alchemical union of polar opposites (El = He and Ella = She).
The steps, drawn directly from Serrano’s books El/Ella: Book of Magic Love, NOS, and Adolf Hitler: The Ultimate Avatar, are:
- Choose the Beloved—an earthly woman of strong “blood-memory” or an astral Valkyrie/Anima figure who mirrors the initiate’s lost androgynous Hyperborean half.
- Astral interpenetration: the union happens only in subtle bodies—“a touch of astral bodies… in meditation, as in a dream.” The kiss is “like a snow feather.” There is no physical consummation or orgasm; energy is circulated upward.
- Rune + kundalini circuit: while holding the pure tension of longing (called Minne in medieval troubadour tradition), the initiate visualizes Armanen runes (inherited from Thule/List) and raises “serpent fire” through the chakras, especially the heart chakra (Anahata). This awakens Vril without dissipation.
- Combat with the Double: the initiate confronts his own shadow in ritual “mystical death.”
- The Liquor of Immortality: the non-procreative union produces a visionary “Soma” or spiritual blood that births the Absolute Personality (the immortal “Stone Man”).
- Daily sadhana: rune-yoga postures, meditation, and heroic action in the outer world. It is ascetic, virile, and reserved for the “twice-born.”
Serrano fused four main influences into one coherent system:
- Thule/List runes: the exoteric seed. Rune-yoga postures and chants become the physical anchor for the Vril circuit.
- Julius Evola (1898–1974): the Italian traditionalist philosopher Serrano met in Rome. Evola’s books The Yoga of Power and The Metaphysics of Sex supplied the left-hand tantra “wet path”—active, virile conquest of primordial energy (Shakti), Grail chivalry, and absolute individuation. Serrano radicalized it: strictly non-physical, racially Hyperborean, and aimed at the Black Sun.
- Savitri Devi (born Maximiani Portas, 1905–1982): the French-Greek Hindu convert and Nazi devotee. Her book The Lightning and the Sun (1958) portrayed Hitler as the “Man Against Time”—a Vishnu/Kalki avatar battling Kali Yuga (the current dark age of decay). Serrano called her the greatest warrior after Hitler, Hess, and Goebbels. He turned her devotional solar mysticism into the operational Vril/A-Mor practice.
- 1942 Chilean occult order: Serrano’s own initiation supplied hands-on kundalini yoga and ceremonial magic already fused with pro-Nazi ideology.
Together these created a complete “operating manual” for the esoteric Fourth Reich.
Dilution into the
Surveillance Fourth Reich
Money, Blackmail, and Digital Control
After 1945 the financial networks integrated with the victors’ systems.
Skull-and-Bones-linked banking precedents (Bush/Thyssen) fed into Cold War intelligence and corporate structures.
The occult mindset diluted into psychological operations, elite networking clubs, and “border science” holdovers in defense research.
Today’s surveillance state perfected the Demiurge toolkit on a global scale:
- Incentives: wealth aggregation and status inside tech-finance oligarchies.
- Blackmail: documented elite sex-compromise rings (the Epstein network with its hidden cameras, intelligence-adjacent ties, and 2025–2026 file releases) mirror ancient priesthoods and SS initiation chambers.
- Programming and control: AI-driven digital panopticism, algorithmic narrative shaping, and crypto dark pools that echo the old asset-laundering routes.
Wealth concentration today mirrors the 1920s–30s industrialists who backed authoritarians—only now the machinery is privatized and algorithmic.
The postwar dilution only digitized the pattern instead of erasing it.
Elite incentives (tech-finance wealth concentration) and blackmail leverage (documented intelligence-adjacent compromise networks) now operate through algorithmic panopticons.
Symbols survive censorship the way they always have:
Memes, tattoos, and coded aesthetic.
The Black Sun virus simply migrated from castle marble to 4chan/Telegram imageboards, while the financial machinery evolved from ratlines to crypto dark pools.
The Re-Rise
Black Sun Symbols in 21st-Century Accelerationist Fascism

The symbols survived underground and went viral online.
The Sonnenrad has become ‘swastika 2.0’—deniable in public but instantly recognized inside accelerationist networks.
It appears in the manifestos of Christchurch (2019) and Buffalo (2022), in propaganda from the now-defunct Atomwaffen Division and its splinters (National Socialist Order, National Socialist Resistance Front), Sonnenkrieg Division, and the decentralized Active Club Network.
These groups blend Siege culture, Order of Nine Angles (O9A) ritualism, fitness/martial-arts recruitment, and online ‘Terrorgram’ channels.
The symbol functions as both aesthetic and magical invocation: a call to accelerate societal collapse toward the Kalki return Serrano described.
Decentralized fitness clubs and Telegram networks have replaced centralized cells, making the ideology harder to dismantle but easier to spread.
Serrano’s Esoteric Hitlerism circulates in podcasts and niche texts.
Evola is quoted by figures from Steve Bannon to Bronze Age Pervert.
Savitri Devi’s Kali Yuga framework influences both white identitarian circles and certain Hindutva crossovers.
Groups such as Atomwaffen Division explicitly mix “Siege” culture, Order of Nine Angles occultism, and Black Sun aesthetics.
The same pattern repeats:
- Money (oligarch funding, crypto)
- Cults (esoteric cells)
- Symbols (runes and Sonnenrad)
- Violence framed as acceleration toward Ragnarök/Kalki
The surveillance state does not crush these movements outright.
It harvests the polarization they create.
The “antisemitism shield” dynamic (where legitimate research into documented Nazi occult escapes and asset trails is reflexively conflated with Protocols-style fantasies) protects the actual networks from scrutiny.
Conclusion
The Eternal Pattern
What Pattern Recognition Actually Means

Money flows first
Thyssen → Bush → postwar integration → today’s tech-finance oligarchs
Cults provide the “why”:
Thule → SS Black Sun → Serrano’s A-Mor Vril path
Symbols are the virus:
Runes → Sonnenrad → 2020s tattoos and manifestos
Blackmail and programming are the glue:
Ancient priesthoods → Epstein files → Digital leverage
Fiction and veiled ritual remain the only safe vessels under pressure.
We live inside the Kali Yuga endgame that Serrano and Savitri Devi described.
The Black Sun is the hidden regenerative force behind visible decay.
The Fourth Reich evolved into the surveillance panopticon, where wealth aggregation and digital control serve the same entropic forces the Hyperboreans were said to oppose.
Track the money.
Symbols are the virus.
Cults supply the ‘why.’
The pattern is older than the Third Reich and survives whatever name the system wears next.
